Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. Effective date: July 2026.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how 970 Tech Solutions LLC ("970 Tech Solutions," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit 970techsolutions.com, submit a form, or use our device repair, business IT, web development, or consulting services. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and transparently.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information — your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address (for mail-in repair).
- Device information — device type, make/model, serial number, and the reported issue.
- Repair details — diagnostic notes, parts used, repair history, and warranty status.
- Payment information — processed through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Form submissions — information you submit through our website's contact and intake forms, processed by our own automation systems.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to: respond to inquiries and provide quotes, process and manage repairs or projects, send invoices, receipts, and status updates, provide customer support, communicate about warranty claims, and improve our services and website. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses Plausible Analytics, a self-hosted, privacy-first analytics platform. Plausible does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors — it only reports aggregate, anonymized site usage (such as total page views) and cannot identify you personally. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising/tracking cookies on our website.
When you first visit our site, a banner lets you accept or decline optional analytics before Plausible loads; your choice is stored in your browser (via local storage, not a tracking cookie) so you are not asked again on that device/browser. We currently do not offer a separate "change your preferences" control after your initial choice — clearing your browser's site data for 970techsolutions.com will reset it and show the banner again.
5. Data Encountered During Device Repair
Devices submitted for repair — whether in person or via mail-in service — may contain personal files, photos, messages, passwords, or other sensitive data. 970 Tech Solutions does not intentionally access, view, copy, or retain any customer's personal files, photos, messages, or stored credentials during the repair process. Our technicians interact with data only to the minimum extent necessary to diagnose the reported issue and to functionally test the device after repair.
We strongly recommend that customers back up their device and remove or secure personal data before sending a device for mail-in repair or dropping it off locally.
6. Device Passcode Security Policy
- Device passcodes are encrypted immediately upon receipt.
- Passcodes are stored only in encrypted form.
- Decryption happens only through the dedicated, access-logged reveal path.
- Access is limited to active repair testing.
- Access attempts are recorded in a timestamped access log.
- Passcodes remain available through repair and secure return.
- Our retention policy permits removal after your device is returned or shipped, when removal is explicitly authorized, or under the 90-day expiry policy.
- Passcodes are given a 90-day expiry when stored, and expired passcodes are removed by a scheduled cleanup process.
- Passcodes are never sent by email or SMS.
- Passcodes are never shared with third parties.
- Passcodes are never used to access personal files, photos, messages, accounts, or data.
You may choose not to provide your passcode online. If not provided, we will contact you before testing.
7. Third-Party Services We Use
We rely on the following trusted third-party services to operate our business. Your data may flow through these providers as described:
- Stripe — processes payments for repairs and services. Stripe handles your card details directly; we never store your card number.
- Resend — sends transactional emails, such as quotes, invoices, and repair status updates.
- Documenso — hosts electronic signature contracts and agreements you may sign with us (for example, repair agreements, business IT, or web development service agreements).
- Cal.com — powers our online appointment scheduling for local drop-offs and consultations.
- Invoice Ninja — hosts our client billing portal for invoices, receipts, and payment history.
- Plausible Analytics — provides cookie-free, privacy-first website analytics (see Section 4).
- Listmonk — powers our optional email newsletter. If you subscribe using the "Get Updates" form on our site, your email address is stored in Listmonk (self-hosted by us) solely to send you newsletter emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — a bot/spam-prevention check used on our contact and mail-in intake forms. Turnstile does not require you to solve a puzzle in most cases and does not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
Each provider processes only the data necessary to perform its function on our behalf, and each maintains its own privacy and security practices.
8. Communications & Automated Tools
If you provide us with a phone number or email address, you consent to receive communications from us about your repair or project — including status updates, quotes, and invoices — by phone call, text message (SMS), and email. Message and data rates may apply for SMS. These are service-related communications, not marketing.
- Text messages: Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or OPT OUT to any text message at any time to opt out of SMS. Reply HELP for assistance. You may also opt out by contacting us directly (see Section 16).
- Email: Contact us at info@970techsolutions.com to opt out of ticket- or project-related emails.
- Phone calls: Let us know at any time if you'd prefer not to receive calls, and we will note your preference.
Opting out of one communication channel will not affect your ability to receive service through the others, though it may affect how quickly we can reach you with time-sensitive updates.
We may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to help our staff process repair information and draft internal notes or customer communications. A staff member reviews any customer-facing communication before it is sent — automated tools do not send messages to customers on their own.
9. Data Retention
We retain contact and repair-related records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, satisfy warranty obligations, and comply with legal and accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your information at any time, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.
10. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, and the right to opt out of certain uses.
- GDPR (European Union residents): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and the right to object to certain processing.
- CCPA (California residents): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@970techsolutions.com. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time frame, consistent with applicable law.
11. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected customers by email and/or phone without unreasonable delay after discovering the breach, and in accordance with applicable Colorado and federal law. Notification will include a description of the incident, the types of information involved, and steps we are taking in response.
12. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
13. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information submitted to us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Where Your Data Is Stored
970 Tech Solutions operates its own business systems (such as our invoicing, repair-ticket, and email systems) on hosting infrastructure provided by a third-party hosting company. Some of this infrastructure is located outside the United States — specifically in the European Union (Denmark). As a result, the information you provide to us may be stored and processed on servers located outside the United States. Regardless of where it is stored, your information continues to be protected under this Privacy Policy, is handled only for the purposes described here, and our hosting provider is contractually bound to keep it secure and to process it only on our instructions. Some of the other third-party services listed in Section 7 (for example, Stripe) may also process your information outside the United States in the course of providing their service.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.
